These are tools, not treatment

Health Companion journals and apps are educational and organizational tools. They help you write down and organize your own information. They are not medical devices, and they do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment or clinical recommendations.

Always follow your own care team

Any general information in a companion is not tailored to you. Prompts such as symptom pages, zone pages or reminder pages are places to record the guidance your own clinician gave you — not guidance from us. Never delay or disregard professional medical advice because of something you read in a companion.

In an emergency

If you think you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number, or go to the nearest emergency department. Do not use a journal or app to seek urgent help.

No outcome claims

We make no claim that using a companion improves survival, prevents complications, controls a condition or changes any clinical outcome.

Your records

What you write in a companion is yours. How we handle information you send us through this website is described in our privacy policy.
